9 Mocktail Recipes to Brighten Your Holidays!
If you are planning to host a party or get together during the Holidays, you would definitely want to play a good host and see to it that the non-alcoholic crowd also get their fair share of tasty scrumptious drinks.
Here is a list of mocktails you might want to try and make sure that the non-drinkers are also having a fun time.
1 – BLUE SHOE
This bright blue drink non-alcoholic drink looks as exciting as its alcoholic counterpart.
Ingredients
- 3 oz of Blue Hawaiian punch
- 2 oz of white cranberry juice
- 7 UP
Directions
Put some ice in a mixing glass and add the punch and cranberry juice. Mix well until cold. Pour it into a chilled Martini glass and top it off with 7UP. Garnish it with a slice of orange or lemon or few cherries to give it a cocktail look.
You can prepare this drink in a pitcher in advanced and chill it in the refrigerator.
In case you decide to use a red cranberry juice the colour of the drink might vary, and the drink might end up looking dark purple.
2 – COCONUT CRÈME MOCKTINI
Ingredients
- ½ cup of cream of coconut
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ½ tsp coconut extract
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
- For the Glass Rim
- 1 tsp honey
- 1tbsp coconut flakes
Directions
In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients and shake well until chilled.
Place honey in one plate and coconut flakes in another. Roll the rim of the glass in honey first and then roll it over the coconut flakes.
Pour the chilled drink into the garnished glasses and serve.
3 – ICED CHOCOLATE

The preparation time for this one is about 30 mins.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup of unsweetened processed cocoa (preferably Dutch)
- 1 tsp chocolate extract
- ½ fine sugar
- 1 cup milk
- ¾ cup hot water
- Club Soda
- 2 cups of ice
- Chocolate Gelato (slightly softened)
- Fresh Mint
Directions
Blend the cocoa, sugar, extract, and hot water in a blender to obtain a smooth paste. Add milk and blend to combine. Set it aside until it cools completely.
Add ice to the cooled down mixture until it is frothy. Adjust the amount of ice as per requirement.
Pour some club soda in a glass. Now pour in the chocolate mixture and make sure to leave an inch of space at the top. Place a scoop of Chocolate Gelato on top. Garnish with mint.
4 – GRAPEFRUIT AND THYME COFFEE COCKTAIL
Ingredients
- 10 ml vanilla syrup
- 40 ml Expresso
- Ice cubes
- 5 dried Thyme leaves
- 100 ml Grapefruit juice
Directions
In a shaker, put some dried, crushed thyme leaves, grapefruit juice and 2 ice cubes and shake it well.
In a glass, pour the vanilla syrup and then add the mixture from the shaker.
Pour the Espresso in the shaker with a couple of ice cubes and shake well. Pour the coffee in the glass and garnish with a sprig of thyme.
5 – MOCKMOSA
A delectable alcohol-free substitute for the conventional Mimosas.
Ingredients
- 2 oz orange juice
- 3 oz dry sparkling white grape juice. Alternatively, you can mix white grape juice with sparkling mineral water. Adjust the ratio according to the preferred sweetness levels.
- Mint for garnish
Directions
Pour the orange juice in a flute glass and then pour the sparkling white grape juice. Garnish with mint.
6 – BUTTERBEER
A perfect drink for all the Harry Potter fans.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
For Soda
- 12 oz Cream soda bottles (2)
- ¼ tsp imitation butter flavour (professional strength). Anything less strong then use ½ tsp for each serving
- A pinch of salt
For Foam Topping
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp imitation butter flavour; ½ spoon if less strong
Directions
For the foam topping: Whip the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and imitation butter until soft peaks are formed.
In a beer mug, add the imitation flavour and a pinch of salt and mix well. Pour in the chilled soda and top it off with a portion of the whipped cream.
7 – HOT TODDY

Ingredients
- 7 oz of hot black tea
- 1 tsp honey (sugar free)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- Lemon wedge for garnish
Directions
Pour honey into a cup and add all the spices. Top it with hot tea and mix well. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
8 – WARM SPICED CRANBERRY MOCKTAIL
Ingredients
- 6 oz cranberry juice (sweetened)
- 3 oz of orange juice
- ½ cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 1 slice fresh ginger
- 1 tsp honey
Directions
In a small pan, add the juices, cinnamon, cloves and ginger and warm gently until it comes to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for few minutes. Remove from heat and add honey. Gently stir. Strain the spices and serve in a glass. Garnish it with cherries on a toothpick.
9 – WHITE CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT MOCKTINI
The recipe uses white hot chocolate which can be made melting white chocolate with skimmed or whole milk.
Ingredients
- 3 oz of hot white chocolate
- 2 oz of peppermint coffee creamer
- White chocolate syrup
- Crushed peppermints for garnish
Directions
Prepare the martini glass by dipping the rim in white chocolate syrup and then dip it in the crushed peppermint.
Add the white-hot chocolate and peppermint coffee creamer in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain this mixture into the glass and serve.
